The dança dos leques is a dance improvisation based on a research about the history of Ausdruckstanz (expressive dance) and dance notations, as from Mary Wigman and Rudolf von Laban. For each colour and symbol the performers memorize their indivdual movement. Alternately, one performer holds up a colour and the other dance their choreography. One “dance-colour-episode” lasts 1-3min approximately.
The performance is accompanied by musicians who also change their rhythm after every colour change.The complete duration of the performance may vary between 20-40min.
